Night at the Oscars

Kelvin Limb at the 13th Security Excellence Awards

The London Hilton Hotel was host to the 13th Security Excellence Awards last night (19th October). The cream of the country's security professionals were in attendance to enjoy the glitz and the glamour of the industry's very own Oscar ceremony.

Shortlisted in two categories, we were unfortunately and narrowly denied a double win by Universal Security Systems (Integrated Security Solution) and Contact Security (Small to Medium Installer). Well done to both.

Sales Director Matt Gilmartin was inexhaustibly positive, 'of course, we are a little disappointed not to have won, but to be simply shortlisted in such prestigious company is still awesome. Even more so as we are a comparatively small company and in such a niche market of what is, overall, a huge industry.'

The Environmental Initiative Award, a cause close to all our hearts, was sponsored by us. The honours went to Operations Director Kelvin Limb to present this very special award to Turner Facilities Management. Congratulations to them!

'Tonight has gone a long way towards realising our vision for the future. I'd personally like to thank Risco Group, without them we wouldn't have been able to make such great forward strides in product and service diversification, development and delivery. For years now we've been consistently raising awareness of security smoke as a critical addition to the security armory and our new ventures really let our commitment to customer experience shine and affirm our place among the security elite', Matt added.

The evening itself went with a massive bang, quality company, quality compere - the very funny Fred MacAuley - and quality chow, a great time had by all.

We would like to pass on our thanks to United Business Media, Security Management Today Online and info4security for putting on such a fantastic and memorable event.
